Passive low-energy building community

After 10 years of development, passive low-energy buildings in China have evolved from small-scale demonstration projects to large-scale construction. Passive low-energy building communities exceeding 100,000 square meters have emerged in Beijing, Hebei, Shandong, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, and other regions. Shijiazhuang city currently has 34 projects under construction, with a total construction area of 2.11 million square meters. In July 2020, the General Office of the Hebei Provincial People's Government issued "Several Policies on Supporting the Development of Passive Ultra-Low Energy Consumption Building Industry", planning to achieve a combined completed and under-construction area of passive low-energy buildings exceeding 13.4 million square meters by 2025. A conservative estimate suggests that by 2035, the national capacity for passive low-energy buildings will reach 2 billion square meters.
